  • I have raised $1.5 million in funding for women of color led nonprofits in just over two years of experience.

  • It depends on the organization’s needs and past experience. I’ve won federal grants as large as $250,000/year to local grants as small as $5,000 and everything in between. My depth and breadth of experience means I am able to work with teams and budgets of various sizes.

  • Once we are partnered together, my goal is to teach your team to be self-sustainable. I will work with you to ensure your organization has all the necessary paperwork and documents in place prior to applying for the grant.

  • I utilize a variety of methods including client referrals, listserves, online software like Foundation Directory and Instrumentl. I vet each opportunity thoroughly for eligibility and work with the client to identify the grants that most fit their mission, values, and needs.

  • I work closely with you and your team’s existing communication structure. I conduct routine check ins to ensure progress toward milestones, incorporating feedback and soliciting help from additional team members on an as-needed basis.

  • When an organization is onboarded, I create a grants tracker which lists each opportunity, deadline, and timetable for submission. I review the grant tracker during our check ins and during any reports.
